In 14 appearances, he pitched 32.1 innings and posted a 2-4 record on the season. On Feb. 23, Holscher made his Pacific debut at Houston, surrendering just one hit and no earned runs to help Pacific to its first win of the year, 4-3. He came in the ninth for his only save of the season. Larry notched his first win of the year against Stanford on Mar. 21, when he walked two, fanned two and pitched 4.1 scoreless innings to earn claim a 10-6 victory over the Cardinal. Holscher finished out the year with a strong outing at Santa Clara on May 20, allowing five hits, three strikeouts and one earned run over 5.2 innings before handing the game over to the bullpen for his second season victory, 8-2.<b>Previous School (Fresno City):</b><br>Holscher came to the Tigers after spending his first two seasons at Fresno City College. Larry posted a 6-1 record with the Rams in 2007 finishing the season with a 1.15 ERA. He recorded 66 strikeouts in 64 innings and only issued 10 walks. Following the season, Holscher was named to the 2007 All-Central Valley Conference Team. He also earned the Fresno City College Pitcher of the Year award as well as the Dick Selma Outstanding Pitcher award. In his two seasons at Fresno City College, Larry set the school career record for appearances with 49. He also set the single season mark with 24 appearances as a freshman in 2006. That season, Larry was 7-3 with a 2.61 ERA in 45.1 innings.<b>High School:</b><br>Holscher is a 2005 graduate of Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, Calif., where he lettered in baseball each season. Larry delivered a stellar senior season with the Cougars, finishing the year with a 6-1 record and a 1.67 ERA. Holscher recorded 41 strikeouts in 42.1 innings and issued just nine walks.<b>Personal:</b><br>Lawrence Holscher is the son of Robert and Randi Holscher and has one sister, Amanda (18). In his second year at Pacific, Larry is majoring in sport sciences.
